What's a tapenade?
Tapenade was originally created in Provence, region in the south of France,
by the chef in the "Maison Doree ", Monsieur Meynier more than
a century ago. This original Provencal spread contained finely chopped
black olives, capers and anchovies, and it is considered a Gourmet Condiment.
Its names comes from the Provencal word for capers, Tapeno.
Chef Claude Chazalon,
former owner of “Paris Restaurant,” in downtown Paso Robles,
had a whirlwind love affair “Coup de Coeur” with the Paso
Robles wine region of
Central California.

A traditional blend of black olives, olive oil, anchovies and capers,
that give the rich flavor of the olive. This spread has been a favorite
Mediterranean taste for a century. We suggest topping a slice of crostini
with feta cheese and tapenade, tossing it in the famous "Pasta
Putanesca" dish, adding it to your favorite vinaigrette dressing.

Our own gourmet blend of black Kalamata and green olives, sun-dried tomatoes,
red bell peppers makes a unique and tasty
spread. Toss it in the famous "Pasta Puttanesca" use it on bruscetta,
or top it on your favorite grilled meats and chicken dishes.

An amazing crush of Kalamata black and green olives, olive oil and capers
makes this blend delicately tasty. Try this flavorful spread on fresh
French bread, crackers or toasts. Also delicious on grilled seafood.
Toss tapenade with pasta or shake with salad dressing.
Bon Appetit!
